Daily Exercise Series, 2012

This series is based on a dream of ivory tablets showing the information I needed to use my exercycle on a daily basis. Each day’s art piece shows a symbol for the goddess or god of that day from Norse or Roman times.

The artwork features various combinations of hand-dyed and commercial fabrics with stitching and encaustic.

Format: All are 10" by 10". Each is presented on an encausticbord cradle, ready for hanging.

Note: Encaustic medium lasts for centuries when kept between 32°F and 140°F. Small crackings from handling are part of the texture. Lightly buff with a paper towel to restore luster.
